Front Door Weatherstrip: Service and Repair

Weatherstrips:

DOOR WEATHERSTRIP REMOVAL
1. Apply lower half of weatherstrip, starting at hinge face at belt line, working fasteners into holes in shut face of doors.
2. Apply a bead of adhesive to weatherstrip seating area on door upper and lower areas.
3. Install upper half of weatherstrip on door, indexing at the upper corners.
4. Work weatherstrip from index points to a point midway between them. Avoid puckering or stretching of weatherstrip.

Outer Belt Weatherstrip:

OUTER BELT WEATHERSTRIP REMOVAL
1. Remove trim panel and plastic air shield (see instructions).
2. Detach glass from glass lift plate (3 nuts) and rest glass in bottom of the door.
3. Remove 6 weatherstrip attaching screws.

INSTALLATION
1. Secure weatherstrip in place (6 screws).
2. Fasten glass to glass lift plate and adjust to the opening (see instructions for glass adjustment).
3. Install plastic air shield and trim panel.
