Trim Panel: Service and Repair

Cowl Side Trim Panel:

COWL SIDE TRIM PANEL REMOVAL
1. Remove scuff plate.
2. Remove trim panel retaining screws.
3. Remove from vehicle by pulling rearward and up.
4. Reverse above procedure for installation.

GARNISH MOULDINGS
When removing a garnish moulding that is overlapped by an adjoining moulding, loosen the end attaching screw to prevent possible damage to both mouldings.

Grab Handle:

GRAB HANDLE REMOVAL
1. Pry off end caps with a trim stick.
2. Remove mounting screws and remove handle.
3. Reverse the above procedure for installation using caution not to overtighten the mounting screws.

UPPER QUARTER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.

Vanity Lamp Insert:

2. Remove vanity lamp insert by prying out at alternating corners with a trim stick then disconnect wiring.
3. Remove rear seat cushion.
4. Remove rear seat back.
5. Remove screws securing lower trim panel to upper trim panel.

Upper Quarter Trim Panel:

6. Remove screws from garnish mouldings that overlap the upper trim panel.
7. Remove trim panel mounting screws and lift trim panel from vehicle.
8. Reverse above procedure for installation.

Lower Quarter Trim Panel:

LOWER QUARTER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL
1. Remove rear seat cushion.
2. Remove rear seat back.
3. Remove rear step plate screw and loosen remaining step plate screws.
4. Remove lower trim panel mounting screws.
5. Slide seat belt through panel and remove trim panel from vehicle.
6. Reverse the above procedure for installation.
