Effective January 1, 1988 the input shaft and 5th speed gear sleeve have been revised and a snap ring has been added to the input shaft of the KM200 series 5-speed transaxle, as shown in Figure 1.

Figure 2:

Figure 2 shows a cross-section view of the input shaft end indicating the position of the new snap ring.

Figure 3:

Figure 3 shows a cross-section view of the 5th speed gear sleeve indicating the revision made to accommodate the added snap ring.
