1. Remove carburetor from engine and clamp in soft jawed vise with mixture adjusting screw facing upward.
2. Cover air and fuel inlets to prevent entry of foreign matter.
3. Drill a 5/64 inch pilot hole into casting at a 45° angle as shown, then enlarge pilot hole to 1/8 inch.
4. Drive out concealment plug using a suitable drift, then blow out all metal chips with compressed air.
