SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Vehicles built from MDH 02-25-10 through MDH 03-03-17 have ACI driveshafts substituted for the GKN driveshafts on the right side only.

Identification and service of the substituted driveshafts are the same as for the 1987 K, E, G, H, and P Body ACI driveshaft, as outlined in "Group 2 - Suspension" of the 1987 Domestic Front Wheel Drive Service Manual (81-270-7002). Boot identification is on page 2-22, and the proper boot-to-boot dimension "A" of 469-478 mm (18.5-19.0 inches) is called out on page 2-46 of the 1986 Domestic Front Wheel Drive Service Manual. If component replacement is necessary for this ACI driveshaft, use the following chart.
