A/T - 413 Transfer Gear Set Noise

Subject: CHRYSLER 413

PROBLEM:
Transfer Gear Set Noise on the 1984-87 Dodge Omni, and Plymouth Horizon

DIAGNOSE:
Accelerate past 45 MPH, and coast through the 45-35 MPH range, checking for a high pitched whine.

CORRECTION:
If the whine is present, replace the gearshift control cable. Part number for the gear shift control cable is:

4377301

Be sure to route the cable between the carpet and the underlayment.
