Poor radio reception, intermittent reception, static, or noise from radio..

DIAGNOSIS

1. Check for antenna cable routing. Improper routing, below pedals as shown in Figure 1, may cause internal damage to cable.
2. Plug a known good antenna into the radio and verify radio now works correctly.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Replace the antenna assembly as outlined in the service manual. Figure 2 shows the proper routing for the antenna cable on the left side of the floor pan.
