There have been three changes made in the KM182, KM200, KM201, and KM206 transaxles used in subject model vehicles for 1987. These changes were effective in October, 1986, beginning with transaxle DN6343.
FIGURE 1:
^ The neutral return spring assembly has been inverted (rotated 180~) on the control shaft, as shown in Figure 1. In this position the larger diameter end of the assembly is located against the transaxle case. This repositioning is done to give improved serviceability. This change can be applied to earlier built transaxles.
^ The spring pin, PN MD701722, which is being used for 1st-2nd and 3rd-4th speed shift forks, will now also be used for the 5th speed shift fork as well. This change can be applied to earlier built transaxles.
^ Spring pin, PN MF472572, will be used in the stopper body (Figure 1). This change can be applied to earlier built transaxles.
