SYMPTOM/CONDITION

To improve shifting lever "feel" on subject model vehicles, the groove in the manual control shaft has been changed. This change requires a new O-ring. The new shaft and O-ring have been installed on these transaxles since August, 1986. If it should become necessary to change the manual control lever, or the O-ring on a transaxle built prior to this date, both components should be replaced as a set with these new parts.
