DEALER INSTRUCTIONS

EMISSIONS RECALL # 483 -- CO EMISSIONS


^ This recall applies to 1987 Model Year Plymouth and Dodge Colt vehicles equipped with a 1.5L carbureted engine and Federal emission control system.


^ The following service steps are required:


- Install a vacuum control valve


- Modify the vacuum harness


- Install a hose routing label


^ The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be performing an audit of vehicles serviced for this recall. It is imperative to ensure that each step is performed as instructed. Failure to do so will be considered by the EPA to be a violation, subjecting affected dealers to significantfines.


^ A service procedure checklist is provided on the reverse side of the instruction

Sheet included with the Emissions Service Parts Packages -- PN C3940404. The servicing technician should complete, sign and date the checklist, to be retained by the dealership as a permanent record of recall service completion.
