Pressure Relief Valve

Removal Procedure




1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to "Discharging, Adding Oil, Evacuating, and Charging Procedures for A/C System".
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the pressure relief valve.
4. Clean the valve seat area.

Installation Procedure




1. Lubricate the O-rings of the new pressure relief valve with new polyalkaline glycol (PAG) oil.
2. Install the new valve.

Tighten
Tighten the pressure relief valve to 16 N.m (12 lb-ft).

3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to "Discharging, Adding Oil, Evacuating, and Charging Procedures for A/C System".
