SYMPTOM/CONDITION

This bulletin provides quarter glass adjustment procedures for the 1989 & 1990 Chrysler TC.

File this bulletin in section 23 - BODY AND SHEET METAL - of the Technical Service Bulletin binder and make a note of this bulletin on pages 8S-4 of both the 1989 and 1990 Chrysler's TC Service Manual (PN 81-230-9050) and (PN 81-230-0150).


SERVICE PROCEDURE

Quarter glass adjustment.

1. Remove the spare tire well.

2. Remove the seat belt retractor.

3. Position the soft top in the up and locked position.

4. Visually check the door glass for proper alignment with the A-pillar and convertible top with the glass in the up position with the door closed.

4. Loosen the quarter glass frame-to-body retaining screw (Figure 1, A) for forward and rearward adjustment.
5. Loosen the lower quarter glass assembly attaching screw (B) for inward and outward adjustment. Note the glass control guide (C) located under the quarter glass cover (D). It can be adjusted also.

6. Loosen the upstop for quarter glass-to-door glass alignment at the top of the glass.

7. Carefully raise the quarter glass assembly (D) aligning it to the door glass and rear channel.

8. Tighten the lower quarter glass assembly-to-body attaching screw.

9. Tighten the upper quarter glass assembly-to-body attaching screw.

10. Position the upstop and tighten the retainer.

11. Check the operation of the quarter glass with the door open and closed.

12. Install the hard top.

13. Check the operation of the quarter glass with the door open and closed.
18. Install the spare tire well.
