Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay: Testing and Inspection

The fan motor relays are located on the right front wheel house.

1. With relay disconnected, use suitable ohmmeter to check continuity between terminals 1 and 2. Continuity should exist. Check for continuity between terminals 3 and 4. Continuity should not exist.
2. Apply battery voltage to terminal 1 and ground terminal 2, then check for continuity between terminals 3 and 4. Continuity should exist.
3. If relay does not perform as outlined above, replace.
