Installation

1. Thoroughly clean guide bores and replacement guides.
2. Chill guides in dry ice for at least 30 minutes.
3. Lubricate guide bores generously with engine oil.
4. Place guide on installation tool and carefully align in guide bore.
The groove on the guide must be on the upper end for valve stem seal retention.
5. Press guide in slowly until the tool seats on the head.
CAUTION: Cylinder head must be supported when pressing in guides.
6. The I.D. of the guide is pre-drilled for correct stem to guide clearance. Do not ream after installation.
7. Valve seats must be refaced after new guides are installed.
