Repair Procedure - Divider Sliding Glass Regulator & Motor
Removal1. Remove divider trim. (Refer to service procedure for divider trim removal.)
2. Remove upper divider frame and stationary glass. (Refer to upper divider frame service procedure.)
3. Remove all debris from the lower divider glass tracks.
4. Disconnect the regulator motor wiring.
5. Remove rivets from upper regulator guide track.
6. Remove one (1) bolt and one (1) nut retaining the regulator motor assembly and remove from divider frame.
Installation
Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
Adjustment
Adjustment of the sliding glass is as follows:
1. Feed the drive tape with the glass attached into the lower divider glass track up to the regulator.
2. While using power, feed the tape into the drive gear until the tape end is extending through the regulator.
3. At this time, center the sliding glass so that equal distance appears at the sliding glass edges to the right and left stationary glass edges.
4. With the sliding glass now centered, the drive tape end extending from the regulator is wrapped over the tape stop bumper and the tape snapped onto the four tape retainer tabs. Cycle the sliding glass to assure proper centering.
