Repair Procedure - Divider Removal Upper Divider Frame & Glass Assembly
1. Remove divider trim (see procedure for divider trim removal).2. Remove right and left upper to lower divider reinforcement rods with trim covers.
3. Remove right and left upper divider frame mounting brackets from lower divider assembly.
4. Remove right and left upper divider side braces from lower divider assembly.
5. Remove the upper divider support bolts at the roof support brackets. (Caution should be used at this time because the upper divider is supported in place only by the upper divider glass and the lower divider glass channels.)
6. With an assistant to hold the sliding glass vertical, tilt the upper divider frame with the stationary glass slightly rearward and work the stationary glass free of the lower divider glass channel.
7. With the upper divider frame and stationary glass removed, the sliding glass and channel assembly is removed by disconnecting the drive tape at the sliding glass regulator. Using the regulator, power the sliding glass to the left until the tape drive end runs completely through regulator drive gear. At this time the glass with the tape drive will slide out of the divider track to the left and can be removed from the vehicle.
