Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure

Caution:
Refer to Engine Mounting Caution Engine Mounting Caution.





1. From under the hood, remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts.

2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.





3. Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Replacement (Diesel) Service and RepairStarter Replacement (V8) Service and RepairStarter Replacement (V6) Service and Repair.

Caution:
Refer to Engine Lifting Caution Engine Lifting Caution.

4. Using an adjustable jack on the square tab (1) at the rear of the engine block, raise the engine. In order to access the square tab, remove the starter.





5. Remove the engine mount bolts.

6. Remove the engine mount.





7. If necessary, remove the engine mount side bracket bolts and bracket.

Installation Procedure





1. Position the engine mount side bracket to the engine, if removed.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the engine mount side bracket bolts and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).





3. Install the engine mount.

4. Install the engine mount bolts and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

5. Lower the engine.

6. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Replacement (Diesel) Service and RepairStarter Replacement (V8) Service and RepairStarter Replacement (V6) Service and Repair.

7. Lower the vehicle.





8. Install the engine mount to engine mount bracket bolts and tighten to 65 Nm (48 lb ft).
