Heater Inlet Hose/Pipe and Heater Outlet Hose/Pipe Replacement

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure




1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LZ9) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) (Service and Repair).
2. Release the quick connect.
3. Disconnect the inlet heater hose (1) at the engine.
4. Disconnect the outlet heater hose (2) at the engine.




5. Using the J 38185, disengage the inlet hose clamp at the module.
6. Using the J 38185, disengage the outlet hose clamp at the module.




7. If equipped with rear air conditioning, disengage the inlet and outlet hose clamps from the rear auxiliary pipes using the J 38185.
8. Remove the inlet or outlet hose.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the inlet or outlet hose.
2. If equipped with rear air conditioning, engage the inlet and outlet hose clamps at the rear auxiliary pipes.




3. Engage the outlet hose clamp at the module.
4. Engage the inlet hose clamp at the module.




5. Connect the outlet heater hose (2) at the engine.
6. Connect the inlet heater hose (1) at the engine.
7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill LZ9) (Service and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) (Service and Repair).
