Battery Tray Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the battery.
2. Reposition the positive and negative battery cables out of the way.
3. Remove the battery tray to battery tray reinforcement bolts (1).
4. Remove the battery tray to battery tray support bolts (2).
5. Remove the battery tray to auxiliary bussed electrical center (BEC) bolt (4).
6. Remove the battery tray (3).

Removal Procedure




1. Place the battery tray (3) into position.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the battery tray to battery tray reinforcement bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the battery tray to battery tray support bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Install the battery tray to auxiliary BEC bolt (4).

Tighten the bolt to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

5. Position the positive and negative battery cables.
6. Install the battery.
