Defroster Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the drive side knee bolster.
2. Locate the defrost actuator (1).
3. Disconnect the defrost actuator electrical connector (2).




4. Remove the defrost actuator bolts/screws (4).
5. Remove the defrost actuator (3).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the defrost actuator (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the defrost actuator bolts/screws (4).

Tighten the screws to 1.2 N.m (11 lb in).




3. Connect the defrost actuator electrical connector (2).
4. Install the driver side knee bolster.
5. Re-calibrate the actuators. Refer to Actuators Recalibration. Programming and Relearning
