Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (6.6L)

Tools Required

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac N Fill).
3. Remove the upper fan shroud.
4. Remove the accumulator.





5. Reposition the heater inlet hose (2) clamp to the coolant bypass valve.
6. Remove the heater inlet hose (2) from the coolant bypass valve.





7. Reposition the heater inlet hose clamp to the engine.
8. Remove the heater inlet hose from the engine.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the heater inlet hose to the engine.
2. Reposition the heater inlet hose clamp at the engine using J 38185.





3. Install the heater inlet hose (2) to the coolant bypass valve.
4. Reposition the heater inlet hose (2) clamp at the coolant bypass valve using J 38185.
5. Install the accumulator.
6. Install the upper fan shroud.
7. Install the air cleaner assembly.
8. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill) Draining and Filling Cooling System (Vac N Fill).
