Floor Air Outlet Replacement - Center

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seats.
2. Remove the center console.
3. Remove the console bracket.
4. Reposition the front of the carpet rearward.
5. Remove the floor duct brace.






6. Remove the floor duct from the HVAC module assembly and the lower floor duct.
7. Unsnap the lower floor air outlet duct from the studs and the holes in the floor reinforcement.

Installation Procedure






1. Snap the lower floor air outlet duct to the studs and the holes in the floor reinforcement.
2. Install the floor duct to the lower floor duct and the HVAC module assembly.
3. Install the floor duct brace.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

4. Install the floor duct brace retaining nuts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

5. Install the front carpet into position.
6. Install the console bracket.
7. Install the center console.
8. Install the front seats.
