EGR Valve Vent Solenoid

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) VALVE VENT SOLENOID REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve vent solenoid electrical connector (1).




3. Disconnect the EGR vent solenoid vacuum lines (1).




4. Remove the EGR valve vent solenoid bolt (1) and solenoid.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the EGR valve vent solenoid and bolt (1).

Tighten
Tighten bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




2. Connect the EGR valve vent solenoid vacuum lines (1).




3. Connect the EGR valve vent solenoid electrical connector (1).
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
