Energy Storage Box (ESB) High Current Sensor Replacement

ENERGY STORAGE BOX (ESB) HIGH CURRENT SENSOR REPLACEMENT (WITH RPO CODE HP2)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the battery cut-off switch.
2. Disconnect the high current sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the fuse power cable to high current sensor nut.
4. Remove the fuse power cable from the terminal.
5. Remove the high current sensor (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The high current sensor orientation is VERY important-The sensor wiring MUST be pointed towards the rear of the vehicle, and also the etched numbers on one side of the sensor terminal MUST be on the battery cut-off switch side.




1. Install the high current sensor (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the fuse power cable to the terminal.
3. Install the fuse power cable to high current sensor nut.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Connect the high current sensor electrical connector.
5. Install the battery cut-off switch.
