Bracket Replacement (25 Series)

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting
2. Remove the differential carrier assembly. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement.
3. Remove the air conditioning compressor-4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L 18) or Compressor Replacement (LR4, LM7, and LQ4) in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
4. Remove the nuts and the washers from the bracket.
5. Remove the bracket from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the bracket to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the washers and the nuts to the bracket.
^ Tighten the bracket to frame nuts to 90 Nm (67 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the air conditioning compressor - 4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines. Refer to Compressor Replacement (L18) or Compressor Replacement (LR4, LM7, and La4) in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
4. Install the differential carrier assembly. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement.
5. Lower the vehicle.
