AMPLIFIER REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Cycle the folding top to reveal the body rear accessory compartment.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Loosen the nuts and remove the lid from the body accessory compartment.
4. Remove the folding top control module.
5. Remove the rear relay center.
6. Remove the daytime running lamps (DRL) diode.
7. Remove the 4 fasteners retaining the intermediate bracket.
8. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the amplifier (3).
9. Remove the 4 fasteners (1, 2) retaining the amplifier to the body rear accessory compartment.
10. Remove the amplifier from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Connect the electrical connectors (3) to the amplifier.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the 4 fasteners (1, 2) that hold the amplifier to the bin.
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
3. Install the 4 fasteners retaining the intermediate bracket.
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
4. Install the folding top control module.
5. Install the rear relay center.
6. Install the DRL diode.
7. Install the lid to the body accessory compartment.
Tighten the nuts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
8. Close the folding top.
