Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair

CHILD RESTRAINT TETHER ANCHOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Separate the J-strips from the seat bottom frame.




2. Work the seat cover back to expose the tether anchor mounting bolt.
3. Remove the tether anchor mounting bolt.
4. Remove the tether anchor (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the tether anchor (1) to the seat frame with the mounting bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the tether anchor bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).




2. Work the seat cover back to the original position.
3. Engage the J-strip to the seat bottom frame.
