63. Intake Manifold Installation

Intake Manifold Installation





1. Install the intake manifold gasket.
2. Install the intake manifold.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install the intake manifold bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts in sequence to 24 Nm (117 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the rear EGR port cover to the cylinder head.
5. Apply GM P/N United States 12345493, GM P/N Canada 10953488, or equivalent, to the EGR port cover to cylinder head bolt threads.
6. Install the rear EGR port cover to cylinder head bolts.
^ Tighten the rear EGR port cover bolts to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.).





7. Install the throttle body to the intake manifold.
^ Tighten the throttle body to intake manifold bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
