EVAP Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Engine
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Disconnect the engine purge pipe from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.
CAUTION: Refer to Fuel and EVAP Pipe Caution in Service Precautions.
2. Remove the engine purge pipe retaining bolt from the intake manifold.
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the engine purge pipe from the chassis purge pipe near the fuel composition sensor.
5. Remove the engine purge pipe.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the engine purge pipe to the engine.
2. Connect the engine purge pipe to the chassis purge pipe.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Connect the engine purge pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve.
5. Install the engine purge pipe retaining bolt to the intake manifold.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Tighten
Tighten the retaining bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
