AMPLIFIER REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Remove the floor console from the vehicle.
3. Remove remote CD changer, if equipped.
4. Remove the console wiring harness from the amplifier.
5. Remove the amplifier mounting nuts.
6. Remove the amplifier from the mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the amplifier to the mounting bracket.
2. Install the amplifier mounting nuts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the amplifier mounting bracket bolts to 10 N.m (88 lb in).

3. Install the console wiring harness to the amplifier.
4. Install the remote CD changer, if equipped.
5. Install the floor console to the vehicle.
6. Install the negative battery cable.
