Starter Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (LG5) Starter Motor Replacement (LG5)Starter Motor Replacement (L18) Starter Motor Replacement (L18).
2. Remove the starter heat shield bolts, and nut.
3. Remove the starter heat shield.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the starter heat shield.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the starter heat shield bolts, and nut.

* Tighten the starter heat shield bolts to 3 Nm (35 lb in).
* Tighten the starter heat shield nut to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

3. Install the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (LG5) Starter Motor Replacement (LG5)Starter Motor Replacement (L18) Starter Motor Replacement (L18).
