Generator Replacement - Auxiliary
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Disconnect the batteries negative cable.
2. Disconnect the terminal plug from the back of the generator.
3. Disconnect the battery lead from the back of the generator.
4. Remove the drive belt from the generator.
5. Remove the auxiliary generator bolts.
6. Remove the radiator intake hose bracket from the rear of the generator.
7. Remove the remaining generator bracket bolts.
8. Remove the generator.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the generator.
2. Loosely install the generator bracket bolts.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the auxiliary bracket bolts.
Tighten
3.1. Tighten the generator brace short bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
3.2. Tighten the generator mounting bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
4. Install the radiator inlet hose brace on the generator.
Tighten
Tighten the hose brace bolt to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
5. Install the drive belt to the generator.
6. Connect the battery lead to the back of the generator.
Tighten
Tighten the battery terminal nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
7. Connect the terminal plug from the back of the generator.
8. Connect the battery negative cable.
