Wheelhouse Panel Replacement - Left

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cables on diesel models.
2. Remove the battery tray on diesel models.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
4. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly.




5. Remove the fender from the wheelhouse bolts (3).




6. Remove the 2 bolts (4,5) holding the wheelhouse to the cowl mounting brackets (6,7).
7. Remove the 3 support bolts that secure the wheelhouse to the radiator.
8. Remove the wheelhouse panel from the vehicle.
9. Tilt the panel out of the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Tilt the panel into the vehicle. Install the wheelhouse panel to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the 3 support bolts and the nuts that secure the wheelhouse to the radiator.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




3. Install the 2 mounting bracket bolts (4,5) that secure the wheelhouse to the cowl.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




4. Install the bolts (3) and the nuts (2) that secure the fender to the wheelhouse.

Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Install the left front tire and wheel assembly.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Install the battery tray on the diesel models.
8. Install the battery on diesel models.
9. Connect the battery cables on diesel models.
10. Close the hood.
