EGR Valve Throttle Solenoid Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the right turbo charged air hose.




3. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) throttle valve solenoid electrical connector.




4. Disconnect the EGR throttle valve solenoid vacuum lines (1).




5. Remove the solenoid bolt (1) and the solenoid.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the solenoid and the bolt (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




2. Connect the EGR throttle valve vacuum lines (1).




3. Connect the electrical connector to the EGR throttle valve solenoid.




4. Install the right turbo charged air outlet tube.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
