Replace the end gate handle bezel that incorporates an engineering change to improve lock cylinder retention to the bezel. Use the following procedure.

1. Remove the end gate handle bezel. Refer to End Gate Adjustment in the Body Rear End sub-section of the Service Manual (SI 2000 SIO ID # 814623).

2. Release the tabs (2) retaining the cylinder to the bezel with a flat-bladed tool.

3. Remove the lock cylinder (1).

4. Install the new lock cylinder into the cylinder sleeve (3), making sure the lock cylinder is fully seated into the retaining tabs (2).

5. Install the handle bezel to end gate, making sure to line up the lock cylinder arm (4) with the opening in the handle. Refer to End Gate Adjustment in the Body Rear End sub-section of the Service Manual (SI 2000 SIO ID # 814623).
