Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Remove the cowl vent grille.
3. Loosen the nuts from the transmission drive link brackets.
4. Remove the transmission brackets from the wiper motor crank arm.




5. Noting the position of the right and left links for reassembly, remove the transmission cowl bolts.
6. Remove the transmission from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the wiper transmission onto the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the transmission cowl bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 7 Nm (62 lb in).




3. Install the transmission brackets onto the wiper motor crank arm.

Tighten the nuts to 5 Nm (44 lb in).

4. Install the cowl vent grille.
5. Install the wiper arms. Refer to Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement Service and Repair.
