A/T Shift Lock Control - Disassemble

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle.
3. Use a screwdriver and gently pry the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column jacket assembly.
