Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

HIGH MOUNTED STOPLAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the center high-mounted stoplamp (CHMSL) retaining screws.
2. Gently pull the electrical connector through the top of the roof.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
4. Remove the CHMSL from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the CHMSL to the vehicle.
2. Connect the electrical connector.
3. Carefully push the electrical connector back into the roof.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the CHMSL retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the CHMSL retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
