Fuel Pressure Check Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the fuel pressure connection valve cap (3).
3. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.
4. Use a standard valve core tool in order to remove the valve core (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Use a standard valve core tool in order to install a new valve core (2).
2. Connect the negative battery cable.
3. Inspect for leaks.
3.1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
3.2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
3.3. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
3.4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
4. Install the fuel pressure connection valve cap (3).
