Combination Valve Replacement (325 ABS)


Removal Procedure

Important: Prior to replacement of the combination valve, note the identification code on the valve. Obtain the proper code when replacing the valve.





1. Remove air outlet duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement in Powertrain Management.
2. Remove the combination valve electrical connector.
3. Remove the brake pipe at the combination valve from the master cylinder.
4. Remove the brake pipe at the combination valve from the EBCM.

Important: Do not remove the master cylinder.

5. Remove the master cylinder nuts. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement.
6. Remove the combination valve and bracket assembly.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the combination valve and bracket assembly.
2. Install the master cylinder nuts. Refer to Master Cylinder Replacement

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the brake pipe at the combination valve from the EBCM.
Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the brake pipe at the combination valve from the master cylinder.
Tighten
Tighten the brake pipe fittings to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
5. Connect the combination valve wire harness.
6. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Automated Bleed Procedure in Brakes and Traction Control.
7. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement in Powertrain Management.
