Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Right)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the hood.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

2. Disconnect the battery cables, if equipped.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the battery tray.
5. Remove the heater hoses from the clip on the wheelhouse.
6. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
7. Remove the air conditioning evaporator tube from the clip.
8. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
9. Remove the right front tire and wheel assembly.




10. Remove the fender-to-wheelhouse bolts (5).




11. Remove the 2 bolts (5, 4) holding the wheelhouse to the cowl mounting brackets (2, 3).
12. Remove the 3 wheelhouse to the radiator support bolts.
13. Remove the wheelhouse panel from the vehicle.
14. Tilt the panel out of the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Tilt the panel into the vehicle.

Install the wheelhouse panel to the vehicle.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the 3 wheelhouse to radiator support bolts (4) and the nuts (5).

Tighten the wheelhouse to radiator support bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





3. Install the 2 wheelhouse-to-cowl mounting bracket bolts.

Tighten the wheelhouse to the cowl bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the fender to the wheelhouse bolts and the wheelhouse nuts.

Tighten the fender to the wheelhouse bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Install the right front wheel.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Install the air conditioning evaporator tube into the clip.
8. Install the air cleaner assembly to the wheelhouse.
9. Install the heater hoses into the clip.
10. Install the battery tray.
11. Install the battery.
12. Connect the battery cables.
