Wheelhouse Panel Replacement (Left)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.


1. Disconnect the battery cables on diesel models.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the battery tray on diesel models.
4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
5. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly.




6. Remove the fender from the wheelhouse bolts (3).




7. Remove the 2 bolts (4, 5) holding the wheelhouse to the cowl mounting brackets (6, 7).
8. Remove the 3 wheelhouse to radiator support bolts.
9. Remove the wheelhouse panel from the vehicle.
10. Tilt the panel out of the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Tilt the panel into the vehicle.

Install the wheelhouse panel to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the 3 wheelhouse-to-radiator support bolts and the nuts.

Tighten the wheelhouse-to-radiator support bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





3. Install the 2 wheelhouse-to-cowl mounting bracket bolts (4, 5).

Tighten the wheelhouse-to-cowl bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





4. Install the fender-to-wheelhouse bolts (3) and the nuts (2).

Tighten the fender-to-wheelhouse bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

5. Install the left front tire and wheel assembly.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Install the battery.
8. Install the battery tray.

Tighten the tray bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

9. Connect the battery cables on diesel models.
10. Close the hood.
