Condenser Replacement (LG5)
Removal Procedure
1. Discharge and recover the refrigerant from the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the nuts.
3. Remover the washers.
4. Remove the bolt.
5. Remove the condenser hose from the A/C condenser. Refer to Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (LG5) Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (LG5)Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (LP4/L21) Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (LP4/L21).
6. Remove the evaporator hose from the A/C condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Core Replacement Service and Repair.
7. Remove the condenser bracket bolts from the radiator mounting panel.
8. Remove the condenser.
9. Remove the mounting bracket bolts.
10. Remove the mounting brackets from the condenser.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the mounting brackets to the A/C condenser.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the mounting bracket bolts.
Tighten the condenser mounting bracket bolts to 2.9 Nm (26 lb in).
3. Install the condenser. If replacing the A/C condenser. Refer to Refrigerant Oil Distribution Specifications [1][2]Refrigerant Oil.
4. Install the condenser bracket bolts to the radiator mounting panel.
Tighten the condenser bracket bolts on the radiator mounting panel to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
5. Install the evaporator hose to the A/C condenser. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Core Replacement Service and Repair.
6. Install the condenser hose to the A/C condenser. Refer to Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (LG5) Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (LG5)Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (LP4/L21) Receiver Dehydrator Replacement (LP4/L21).
7. Install the refrigerant into the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
8. Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Leak Testing Leak Testing.
