Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement

Removal Procedure

The door opening weather-strip is installed at the pinchweld flange that forms at the door opening. Friction over the pinchweld attaches the weatherstrip.




1. Pull the strip from the pinchweld flange.
2. Remove the weatherstrip.

Installation Procedure




1. Install weatherstrip to the pinchweld flange.
2. Position the weatherstrip in the upper right corner of the door opening.
3. See that the end of the seal hangs vertically and is approximately one foot below the rocker panel.
4. Push the weatherstrip onto the flange.
5. Start at a corner and work around the entire edge of the door opening.
