Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the left Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister mount bolt.




3. Remove the right EVAP canister mount bolt.




4. Disconnect the pipes (1) (2) at the EVAP canister.




5. Disconnect the vent valve pipe (2) at the EVAP canister bracket.
6. Remove the EVAP canister from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EVAP canister to the vehicle.
2. Connect the vent valve pipe (2) to the EVAP canister bracket.




3. Connect the pipes (1) (2) to the EVAP canister.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




4. Install the left EVAP canister mounting bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).




5. Install the right EVAP canister mounting bolt.
6. Lower the vehicle.
