Park Brake Cable Replacement-Rear

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the spring from the equalizer.
3. Loosen the equalizer.





4. Remove the connector at the front cable.
5. Remove the brake drum and the shoe assembly. Make sure to bend in the cable-retaining fingers at the backing plate.
6. Remove the rear cable.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the rear cable into the backing plate. Make sure all retaining fingers are completely through the backing plate.
2. Install the brake shoes and the drum assembly.
3. Install the connector.
4. Connect the spring to the equalizer.
5. Adjust the rear cables.
6. Lower the vehicle.
