Brake Pipe Replacement-Front (Automatic Four Wheel Drive)
Removal Procedure1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the brake pipe retainers as necessary.
3. Remove the brake pipe from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Brake Pipe Replacement Caution in Service Precautions.
Important: Brake pipes that run parallel to each other must maintain a 6 mm (1/4 inch) clearance.
1. Install the brake pipe retainers as necessary.
2. Install the brake pipe to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Loosely connect the brake pipe nuts.
- Tighten the brake pipe to combination valve nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the brake pipe to brake hose nuts to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
- Tighten the master cylinder brake pipe nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
4. Bleed the brake system.
