Brake Hose Replacement-Front (Automatic Four Wheel Drive)
Removal Procedure1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the pipe nut.
3. Remove the retainer (5).
4. Remove the bolt (2).
5. Remove the gaskets (3).
6. Remove the hose (1).
Installation Procedure
Important: The hose must not be twisted. Make sure the hose is not in contact with any suspension component.
1. Install the brake hose (1).
Important: Use new gaskets.
2. Install the gaskets (3).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the bolt (2).
- Tighten the bolt to 44 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the retainer (5).
5. Loosely connect the pipe nut.
- Tighten the pipe nut to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Bleed the brake system.
