Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Cargo Doors)

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover


Removal Procedure

1. Use the J 38778 in order to remove the retainers (2).
2. Use the 3M Release Agent or an equivalent in order to break the weatherstrip adhesive bond.
3. Use the J 38778 in order to remove the plastic weather retainers (3).




4. Remove the weatherstrip (1) from the left door.




5. Remove the weatherstrip from the right door.



Installation Procedure





1. Use 3M Weatherstrip adhesive or an equivalent in order to install the weatherstrip to the right door.




2. Use 3M Weatherstrip adhesive or an equivalent in order to install the weatherstrip (3) to the left door.
3. Install the plastic retainers (2) into place. Push the retainers into place until the retainers are fully seated.
