Installation Procedure

Description:

1. Install the tether strap to the vehicle.
2. Route the tether strap underneath the head restraint if equipped.
3. Route the tether strap between the second row bench seat cushion and the seat back.
4. Install the anchor plate to the bench seat frame. The anchor plate attachment hole is provided at the right hand inboard rear side of the third row bench seat frame.

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the anchor plate bolt and the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the child seat anchor plate bolt and the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb. ft).
6. Clip the tether strap spring clip into the anchor plate. Verify that the spring clip end closes once it is attached to the anchor plate.
